Your help is invaluable to us. Every year, hundreds of volunteers donate thousands of hours of their own time to help those who need it most.
There are lots of ways you can help out, no experience is necessary, and we will provide you with all the support and training you need.

Ways to volunteer
There are many ways to help us by volunteering.
We offer flexible volunteering opportunities, and each volunteer chooses a level of commitment that suits them best. That might be anything from half an hour a fortnight at home, to several days a month out and about.
Charity services volunteers
Our charity services volunteers provide a friendly ear to those within their local area who are applying for and receiving help from us.
Telephone befrienders
Our telephone befrienders help reduce social isolation and loneliness by making regular phone calls to those who would benefit from a chat.
Charity ambassador
Our charity ambassadors represent and promote the LTC at events, exhibitions and trade shows across the UK.
